Challenging and supportive. Those are the words most often used by students when describing the chiropractic degree experience at Texas Chiropractic College. And it is a combination that distinguishes TCC from other chiropractic colleges nationwide.
By effectively integrating theory and practice, TCC’s chiropractic education prepares students to serve their patients and their communities as distinguished Doctors of Chiropractic. TCC’s curriculum develops sharp, knowledgeable, skilled chiropractors who can:
TCC offers two degree programs:
Doctor of Chiropractic
Bachelor of Science in Human Biology
Additionally, the College offers post-graduate and continuing education programs.
Excellence In Theory
The theoretical study of chiropractic at TCC is a dynamic exercise in scientific investigation, in which students grow, share, and explore. They gain a solid grounding in the basic sciences of human health and physiology, and are guided by expert, board-certified faculty, most of whom continue their own practices in radiology, clinical medicine, nutrition, and sports medicine. TCC faculty know their students are “future doctors” with whom they easily form personal and collegial working relationships.
Excellence In Practice
TCC’s chiropractic degree program places a heightened emphasis on hands-on training for its students by offering precise, expert instruction in modern clinical practice. Our Preceptorship Program was the first of its kind anywhere in the world, and our Hospital Rotation Program is the largest and best-integrated of such programs in the nation. Through preceptorships, students work hand-in-hand with other medical professionals in field offices—usually practices operated by our adjunct faculty—to hone their skills in the areas of evaluation, diagnosis, and billing and insurance procedures, among others. Our Hospital Rotation Program enables students to team up with fellow medical practitioners in nearly 30 hospitals and clinics throughout greater Houston metropolitan area, including the world-renowned Texas Medical Center. Students also apply their knowledge and skills through clinical internships at TCC’s Moody Health Center.
