This lecture course deals with the pathology of infectious diseases, stressing the important bacterial and viral infections of man. It includes a discussion of the host parasite relationship, major virulence factors, modes of transmissions, mechanisms of prevention, and the laboratory identification of pathogenic bacteria and viruses.
