Research at Texas Chiropractic College

"To advance knowledge in chiropractic health care through research, scholarly and creative activity to benefit the public and patients we serve. To share our knowledge by collaboration and dissemination."

- The TCC Mission For Research

Our vision at TCC is to become a leader in advancing and creating new knowledge that underpins the scientific foundation of the chiropractic profession and informs patient care through translation and application of evidence. The research agenda for the College includes research in biomechanics, falls prevention, chiropractic's contribution to healthy aging, epidemiological investigation of relationships between chiropractic care and overall promotion of health, and a new practice-based research focus that will assess the health outcomes in communities through the participation of doctors of chiropractic in everyday practice from around the country.

TCC's Strategic Plan for Enhancement of Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity is available online.

There are many members of the TCC faculty who are actively participating in diverse research endeavors with peers around the country (list of recent publications, presentations and new research).

The College put the spotlight on research in the 2011 Spring/Fall Issue of Together, the TCC Magazine. An article discussing the importance of research for practicing chiropractors as well as smaller articles on some campus research activities are available here.
