Description:

The legal aspects of setting up a chiropractic practice, including jurisprudence and legislative issues, will be discussed. A portion of the course will be devoted to understanding how to write a business plan and open and set up an office administratively. It will include materials on effective office procedures, practice management and business skills.  Also, students will learn every aspect of insurance billing. The course will cover information on all third party payers, how to choose CPT codes, the importance of IDC-9 coding, and proper filing techniques and documentation.

PREREQUISITE: Classification as Trimester Seven or higher
