Congressman Pete Olson Visits TCC to Discuss Veteran Care

U.S. Representative Pete Olson paid a visit to the TCC campus last week as guest of Dr. Richard G. Brassard, president of Texas Chiropractic College. Olson represents Texas’ House 22nd District, which includes the TCC campus, the Johnson Space Center and as far west as Sugar Land. Rep. Olson came to meet with senior campus administrators and student leaders to discuss chiropractic services to veterans and active duty military personnel.

Visiting Scholar Dr. Will Evans to speak to TCC
Dr. Evans is a fourth generation chiropractor from Eufaula, Ala. and a 1986 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic. He has over 20 years of practice experience and is Director of Wellness Initiatives at Parker College Research Institute in Dallas, Texas.
His interests include modification of intern and physician behaviors related to patient health promotion, smoking cessation research, including smoking ordinance modification and infection control measures for chiropractic offices.
Dr. Evans will speak on Chiropractic Spine Care: Is Advice on Health Promotion and Wellness Necessary? at 12 pm on Monday, June 21st in the Russell Auditorium and Where is Health in Chiropractic Wellness? at 2 pm for Grand Rounds on Tuesday, June 22nd in the Elliott Auditorium.

Very Important Message To Students From the Financial Aid Office: 
Beginning with the 2010 – 2011 school year, all loan funds will be disbursed through Direct Lending. This means that EVERYONE has to complete a new Master Promissory Note (MPN) through Direct Lending. You will not have an Award Letter on June 28th or 29th if you have applied for financial aid but have not completed the MPN for Direct Lending. If you are not sure of your status, please contact the office of financial aid at 281-998-6021 for more information.
