Dr. Debra Bonnefin graduated from the University Of Western States in 1980 with the degree of Doctor of Chiropractic. She was in private practice for 25 years before leaving to join the academic arena. She has a keen interest in rehabilitation and sports injuries and in 2005 received her Diplomate in Rehabilitation. In 2008, she received her Master’s in Applied Science from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology/Southern California University of Health Science. A Survey of Rowing Coaches’ Training Methods was her thesis, and she continues to be interested in athletic training methods as it relates to injuries.

Dr. Bonnefin has more recently been involved with systematic reviews of treatment effects on extremities. She is also interested in the area of biomechanics and its relation to sports performance and injury as well as health promotion for the general population.
