Financing Your Education: Understanding Your Financial Aid (pdf)

Welcome to the Texas Chiropractic College Financial Aid Process for Prospective Students

Note:

  • It is strongly suggested that you print this page now and save it for future reference as you complete the financial aid process.
  • Financial Aid Deadline: All documentation pertaining to your financial aid must be completed and submitted by April 15th of each school year.

Step One:

Complete Texas Chiropractic College General Application for Financial Aid Click here to access the general application. Print and complete this application. Once you are done you have 3 options:

1) Mail it to:

2) Fax to (281) 998-5798

3) Deliver in person to Financial Aid Office during normal business hours.

Step Two:

Apply for Department of Education PIN number.

Before beginning a FAFSA, you must apply for a Department of Education PIN (personal identification number). Apply for one NOW at www.pin.ed.gov

You will receive an email with the PIN within 3-5 business days and must have this information before you can complete the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

This PIN will be used at various points during the Financial Aid process. Please put it in a place you will remember.

Step Three:

Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) For all federal financial aid programs students must complete a FAFSA. The FAFSA can be completed electronically at www.fafsa.ed.gov.The school code for Texas Chiropractic College is 003635.

IMPORTANT: Be sure you have your PIN available as you complete the FAFSA. If you forgot your PIN, click here: www.pin.ed.gov You will receive an email response within 3-5 business days.

Step Four:

Complete Entrance Counseling in 2 Steps
1) Entrance Counseling is the second step of obtaining financial aid at Texas Chiropractic College. The US Department of Education requires that all students receiving a student loan must complete a brief counseling session. On this site, you will review general information. You will also take a brief quiz verifying your understanding of the student loan process. This step should take between 15 and 30 minutes.

2) At New Student Orientation you will have personal entrance counseling with a member of the TCC Financial Aid staff. This will cover additional information, including details specific to TCC, and you will be able to ask the counselors any questions.
