Hospital Rotation Program

The Hospital Rotation Program at Texas Chiropractic College is, in a word, unparalleled. Initiated in 1985 as one of the first of its kind, it is the largest of such programs among chiropractic colleges nationwide. TCC students who participate in the program gain a breadth and depth of perspective in the health care arena that distinguishes them throughout their career as Doctors of Chiropractic.

Through this distinctive program, TCC students tour medical facilities and observe patient care alongside residents from other medical disciplines. Interns in the program succeed in:

• Becoming familiar with hospital protocol and physician referral practices
• Building the confidence to collaborate with physicians from all medical fields
• Establishing a professional network across the spectrum of health care that provides a strong foundation for a future practice
• Developing a finer understanding of the possibilities of treatment within and beyond chiropractic
• Fully understanding the patient benefits that are possible by virtue of a more holistically-oriented health care community
