Dr. Stephen A. Foster Officially Installed as 15th President of Texas Chiropractic College

November 5, 2016 - PASADENA, Texas

Dr. Stephen A. Foster was officially installed as the fifteenth president of Texas Chiropractic College at his Investiture Ceremony on Saturday, November 5th.

The Investiture Ceremony took place in the Elliott Auditorium of Texas Chiropractic College and included a formal procession of the TCC Board of Regents, delegates from other colleges and learned organizations, faculty, staff and students. The reception followed in the Standard Process Auditorium.

An investiture is de...fined as the “act or ceremony of conferring the authority and symbols of high office.” This is a practice that dates back to the Middle Ages and today is an academic ceremony in which the new leader is “vested” with the official powers of the office.

“I pledge to you to honor the history and traditions of this college and will strive to lead this institution in an upward direction of growth and prosperity for the years to follow,” remarked Dr. Foster. “TCC has a strong, historic past, and from where I stand a promising and vibrant future.”
