Feb. 3, 2015 – PASADENA, Texas – Texas Chiropractic College is proud to welcome Michael Wiles, DC, MEd, MS, as the new Dean of Clinics. Under Dr. Wiles’ careful leadership, clinical training at the Moody Health Center will continue to offer TCC students a challenging and supportive environment vital for graduating as practice-ready doctors of chiropractic.
As the Dean of Clinics, Dr. Wiles’ responsibilities include supervising every aspect of the clinical experience at TCC. Dr. Wiles manages TCC’s clinical services, placing a sharp emphasis of hands-on training in evidence-informed, patient-centered health care. He also assists in the instruction of student interns on appropriate standards of care and sound business practices grounded in a firm application of chiropractic principles.
Jan. 30, 2015 – Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) welcomes Michael Sheppard, DC to the Moody Health Center (MHC) faculty. Dr. Sheppard’s addition highlights TCC’s commitment to educating its students on the business management skills needed to graduate as practice-ready doctors of chiropractic.
“Dr. Sheppard’s unique understanding of the internal system dynamics of today’s insurance industry make him a great addition to the TCC clinical faculty as we move forward with implementing a practice-ready business curriculum,” noted TCC’s president Brad McKechnie, DC, DACAN.
Jan. 28, 2015 - Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) will host a diverse contingent of dignitaries from the Japan Chiropractic Association at its annual fundraising gala on April 25, 2015. Now in its 24th year, the gala is the signature fundraising event of TCC and premier social and networking occasion. Gala returns to the TCC campus in Pasadena, Texas, where guests will be able to enjoy the newly renovated Student Center, formerly known as the Russell Building.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the “Cruising Into Summer” themed festivities begin at 7 p.m. “Passengers” will be able to game in the casino, play shuffle board and mini golf, and enjoy the endless buffet complete with chocolate fountain. Additional entertainment on this year’s “cruise” includes music, dancing, and more. Fundraising activities feature a silent auction and a wine pull.
Dec. 18, 2014 - Cassie Stinson, DC, CCSP has accepted an invitation from Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) president, Brad McKechnie, DC, DACAN to join the full-time faculty as an attending clinician at the Moody Health Center (MHC).
“We are pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Stinson,” Dr. McKechnie said. “Her clinical experience and business acumen are tremendous benefits for TCC interns preparing to graduate as practice-ready doctors of chiropractic.”
Dec. 17, 2014 - PASADENA, Texas – Brad McKechnie, DC, DACAN, president of Texas Chiropractic College (TCC), is pleased to announce the promotion of Stephen A. Foster, DC, FICC to the position of provost, effective December 8, 2014.
According to Dr. McKechnie, “Dr. Foster’s responsibilities as provost include coordinating TCC’s academic programming, infrastructure and budgetary matters with the president’s office. Dr. Foster will work methodically to administer the resources, training and services that students, faculty and staff need to promote excellence in the education of doctors of chiropractic.”
Dec. 17, 2014 - This past September, Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) embarked on a groundbreaking curriculum expansion in its mission to promote excellence in the education of practice-ready doctors of chiropractic. The revised Chiropractic Principles curriculum establishes a solid foundation for the chiropractic profession by helping TCC students grow into expert practitioners of chiropractic science.
Nov. 17, 2014 - The Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) Board of Regents has named Brad McKechnie, DC, DACAN as the institution’s 14th president, after serving as the interim president since April 2014. An honor graduate of TCC in 1985, Dr. McKechnie returned to his alma mater as an assistant professor in the department of clinical sciences. He also twice served as a dean during his tenure, managing postgraduate education and later overseeing external affairs for the college. In 2009, Dr. McKechnie was named to the TCC Board of Regents and he served on the Board’s Academic Affairs Committee, Postgraduate Committee, and the Finance Committee.
July 20, 2014 - Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) is pleased to announce Dr. Richard G. Brassard, DC, FICC, as President Emeritus. The Board of Regents met on July 19, 2014 during the TCC Annual Convention in Galveston Texas where they voted unanimously to grant President Emeritus status to Dr. Brassard.
April 16, 2014 - Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) announced Dr. Brad McKechnie, D.C., DACAN as the College’s Interim President effective Monday, April 14, 2014. Dr. McKechnie’s appointment comes on the heels of an announcement by Dr. R. Fred Zuker, Ph.D. that he would step down as the College’s interim president for health reasons, a position he held for seven months.
March 5, 2014 - The Texas Chiropractic College Board of Regents is pleased to announce a nation-wide search to identify and hire the 14th President in TCC's 106 years, and invites applications and recommendations for the Presidency. A delegation of board members has been named to the presidential search committee, led by Dr. Monte Blue, TCC Board Chairman.
Feb. 5, 2014 - Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) renewed an articulation agreement with Lee College Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 to ensure students can continue to easily enroll in the TCC Doctor of Chiropractic program. Presidents from both institutions met at the Lee College campus to re-sign the agreement, which was initially endorsed in fall 2010. The arrangement allows Lee students who earn 90 undergraduate credit hours, maintain a minimum grade point average in specific science prerequisites and meet TCC requirements to automatically qualify for admission.
Jan 30, 2013 - Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) will host its 2014 Gala, "Masquerade" in the Russell Auditorium on its Pasadena campus Saturday, April 5 from 6-11 p.m. The event will feature music from DJ X, casino tables, a silent auction, raffles, and great food and drinks. "The gala is a tremendous opportunity for our friends and leaders in the community and health care to gather for a night of support for the College and celebration," Dr. Fred Zuker, TCC Interim President said.
Dec. 17, 2013 - The International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS) recently awarded their 2013 scholarships, including one for Texas Chiropractic College student Kelley Humphries. Humphries was chosen from a group of 42 applicants from 17 different colleges from around the world to receive a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by Standard Process.
Sept. 20. 2013 - Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) announced R. Fred Zuker, Ph.D., as the College’s Interim President effective September 1, 2013. “I am excited to welcome Dr. Zuker as our interim president,” said Dr. Monte Blue, Chairman of the TCC Board of Regents. “His extensive background in higher education will be a great asset as he leads TCC over the next few months."
Sept. 12, 2013 –Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) is proud to welcome home Dr. John Demartini, Class of 1982, for a free lecture open to the public on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Russell Auditorium on the TCC campus.
Aug. 26, 2013 - Dr. Michael Ramcharan was named the Texas Chiropractic College Faculty Member of the Year on Aug. 21 as part of the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce Salute to Education. TCC Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Steve Foster presented the award to Dr. Ramcharan as part of the celebration in which the Deer Park Independent School District and San Jacinto College Central honored their top instructors as well.
Aug. 22,2013 – Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) and University of Houston-Clear Lake are excited to announce the signing of an agreement which establishes a partnership between TCC’s chiropractic clinic and UH-Clear Lake’s Health Services office. Starting Sept. 4, 2013, student interns from TCC, under the supervision of an attending clinician, will provide year round services free of charge to UH-Clear Lake students, faculty and staff with appointments available Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon in UH-Clear Lake’s Health Center located in the Student Services and Classroom Building, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston.
Aug. 14, 2013 – The Texas Chiropractic College Board of Regents has honored the College’s faculty with the William D. Harper Science of Existence Achievement Award, the school’s highest accolade. Faculty members received the award during a surprise announcement at TCC’s annual convention last month in Galveston. As some faculty members were unable to attend the event, and additional ceremony was held Tuesday evening on campus.
Aug. 9, 2013 - After 10 years as president, Dr. Richard G. Brassard is announcing his retirement from Texas Chiropractic College, effective Sept. 1, 2013. A Fellow of the International College of Chiropractic, and a Fellow of the American College of Chiropractors, Dr. Brassard recently completed a two-year term as the president of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges.
July 31, 2013 - Monte Blue, Ed.D., past president of San Jacinto College Central Campus, was elected the new chairman of the Texas Chiropractic College Board of Regents during the biennial officer elections on July 20, 2013. The summer meeting of the Regents was held in conjunction with TCC’s annual homecoming and convention activities in Galveston, Texas.
July 25, 2013 - The Texas Chiropractic College Career Resource Center will be hosting its first Career & Networking Week, July 29 - August 2, 2013. This event is an extension of the career & networking fairs held once a trimester. A series of speakers will lead up to the career fair on Friday where students, staff, faculty and alumni will meet and network with doctors of chiropractic and chiropractic vendors. Interviews with TCC students will be held concurrently with area chiropractors.
July 22, 2013 - The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce Cultural Arts Committee met at the Chamber recently to congratulate two scholarship recipients, Corinne Miller from San Jacinto College and Eric Olson from Texas Chiropractic College. Each student was chosen for their outstanding academic performance to receive a $1,000 scholarship.

March 12, 2013 - Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) will be well represented at the 2013 Association of Chiropractic Colleges' Research Agenda Conference as 46% of its faculty has contributed to research being presented in Washington, D.C.

Dec. 18, 2012 - Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) and Sam Houston State University (SHSU) entered into an academic partnership, signing an articulation agreement on Dec. 13, 2012 at TCC’s campus.
Nov. 19, 2012 - Texas Chiropractic College students Joseph Urrea, Gabrielle Williams and Kelley Humphries represented the College, their research teams and the chiropractic profession on Nov. 8, presenting research posters at two national research conferences.
Nov. 16, 2012 - At their October retreat, the Texas Chiropractic College Board of Regents added Barbara M. Hanson, Ph.D. of San Jacinto College and William Theodore “Ted” Cummings, Ph.D. of the University of Houston–Clear Lake to their ranks. The pair joins Paul Raymond, D.C., a July 2012 appointee, as the newest members of TCC’s governing body.
Sept. 17, 2012 - Texas Chiropractic College’s Moody Health Center (MHC) is excited to announce a new partnership with San Jacinto College’s Massage Therapy Program (MTP), which provides clinical and office space in the MHC for qualified MTP students participating in the required internship.
Sept. 11, 2012 – On the anniversary of the program's launch, Texas Chiropractic College's Moody Health Center announced the continuation of its 9/11 Harris County First Responders program, which provides eligible first responders with chiropractic care without charge or at minimal cost.
July 27, 2012 - Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) and McMurry University are excited to announce the signing of an articulation agreement which establishes a joint-degree program between TCC’s Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree and the McMurry University Department of Biology’s Bachelor of Science degree. The agreement was formally signed on July 26 and goes into effect for the Fall 2012 academic term.
