Strategic Planning Goals and Objectives 2003-2004

Texas Chiropractic College's mission statement articulates its purpose for existence.  To remain viable in the future, however, the mission statement must be driven toward the realization of a strategic vision.  Focusing on a vision requires that the institution and its constituents understand the issues that bring about success and build a basis for the accomplishment of those issues through plans and objectives. Texas Chiropractic College has identified several strategic goals essential to its vision.  These goals are considered the foundation for institutional planning.  The institution examines its strategic goals annually to determine their continued relevance.  Some may be reaffirmed and retained, some may be restated to reflect changes that affect the institution, and new ones may be added as they are determined to be strategically significant.  The issues presently identified as Strategic Planning Priorities for 2004-2005 are presented below.

  1. Develop institutional resources and facilities
  2. Recruit and retain quality students
  3. Enrich the quality of faculty instruction
  4. Advance the institution's instructional technology
  5. Develop integrative program of health care
  6. Provide service in the field of chiropractic
  7. Contribute to the body of knowledge in chiropractic research
  8. Advance the institution's public image

These eight goals are priorities that will serve as the basis for the institution's general operational goals and objectives for 2004-2005.
