Talmage Honored As TCC Teacher of the Year

PASADENA, Texas - Dr. Dorrie Talmage was named the Texas Chiropractic College Faculty Member of the Year on Aug. 17 as part of the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce Salute to Education. TCC President Dr. Richard G. Brassard presented the award to Dr. Talmage as part of the celebration in which the Deer Park Independent School District and San Jacinto College Central honored their top instructors as well.
“I thank Dr. Talmage for having such a positive impact on the educational experiences of our students and the tremendous job she has already done in just three years at TCC,” said Dr. Brassard.
Dr. Talmage has been a member of the Texas Chiropractic College faculty since August 2007, teaching orthopedics and case management. She is co-chair of the Quality Enhancement Plan Committee at TCC and is formerly the associate editor of the Journal on Chiropractic Education.
After earning her Doctor of Chiropractic degree April 1988 from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in Whittier, Calif., Dr. Talmage went on to receive a master’s degree in medical education from the University of Southern California and a diplomate in chiropractic orthopedics. Additionally, she just completed her bachelor’s of science degree in nursing from Hardin Simmons University
Dr. Talmage has been teaching since 1991.
