Degree Program

Admission Requirements

All applicants to the Bachelor of Science program must
studentscomplete lower division course work at an accredited college or university and upper division course work will be completed at Texas Chiropractic College.

Candidates may major in Human Biology, Public Health, or obtain a dual degree. Please contact the Office of Admissions for required lower division course work.

To qualify for completion of the program at TCC   no more than 20 hours of a candidate's pre-professional education can be acquired through institutional proficiency examinations such as:

  • College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • American College Training Program (ACT)
  • Program Evaluation Procedure (PEP)
  • DANTES
  • Institutional departmental examinations

Credits earned in this manner may NOT be applied to any of the science prerequisites in biology, chemistry or physics.

Summary of Preliminary Requirements

  • A minimum overall grade point average (G.P.A.) of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) and a minimum grade of "C" in each course required for the degree program must be held.
  • All required science courses must be acceptable toward fulfilling the requirements of a science-major degree program at an accredited institution and be completed in a classroom setting.

All required science courses must have been completed within the ten years immediately preceding admission to TCC.

This degree program requires a minimum of 60 semester credits of lower division course work to be completed at an accredited college or university (40 semester credits must be completed prior to admission to TCC) and 78 trimester credits of upper division work to be completed at Texas Chiropractic College.
