The course emphasizes the psychological basis of human health and illness as relevant to encountering and treating patients in a chiropractic clinical environment. DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) basis of anxiety, mood, psychotic, somatoform, personality disorders and other disorders/conditions are presented in terms of clinical signs, symptoms, diagnoses and treatments. Emphasis will be placed on identifying and managing those types of psychological conditions chiropractors are most likely to encounter in practice.
