Dear TCC Community,  

 

It is great to see our campus abuzz with activity again! I want to extend a warm welcome back to campus to all our returning students, and a special welcome to those who are stepping foot on campus for the first time — this is the start of an extraordinary journey. I hope to see many of you at our First Friday event this Friday, May 16.  

 

We are almost halfway through 2025, and it is hard to believe how quickly the year is flying by. I want to take a moment to share a few accomplishments:

Dr. Hook-Pence at the NBCE Workshop  

In April, Dr. Ashley Hook-Pence had the honor of representing TCC at the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) Part II Test Development Committee and Standard Setting Workshop in Greeley, Colorado. It is always a privilege to see our faculty playing such a key role in shaping the future of the profession. Thanks to Dr. Hook-Pence!  

 

Thank you to TCC Students Jake and Tanner  

A big thank you goes out to students Jake Nunmaker and Tanner Murphy, who recently donated and installed two new pull-up bars at the Rec Center. It is a meaningful addition to our campus, and it is amazing to see students giving back and enhancing the TCC experience for everyone.  

 

Celebrating Years of Service at TCC 

At TCC, we take pride in the dedication and loyalty of all our employees. Their commitment to both our vision and mission is what makes our campus a great place to learn, work, and grow. Please join me in congratulating the following faculty and staff for their years of service to TCC: Jesse Coats and Kenneth Tyer Jr., 35 years; Arthur Goudeau, 25 years; Patricia Moore, 15 years; David Oliva and William Reichel, 10 years; David Maskell and Alysa Campos, 5 years. We are extremely grateful for their contributions to TCC.  

 

Welcome Dr. Saleh Khalil Ibrahim Saleh, Our New Dean of Academics  

I am excited to share an important announcement with you all: Dr. Saleh Khalil Ibrahim Saleh will be joining TCC as our new Dean of Academics. While Dr. Saleh will not be physically on campus until August due to his relocation from Malaysia, we are thrilled to have him on board. Dr. Saleh is currently the Head of the Chiropractic Department and Senior Lecturer at International Medical University, where he has made significant contributions to chiropractic education and research. Dr. Saleh has received research funding for a variety of initiatives and has published articles focusing on the future of chiropractic education. He has also supervised and mentored numerous students’ thesis projects, some of which explore innovative modes of instructional delivery. His expertise, leadership, and vision for the future of chiropractic education will be invaluable to TCC as we continue to evolve and provide exceptional learning experiences to our TCC community.  

 

Thank you all for your hard work and dedication. We have accomplished so much already this year and there is so much more ahead. It is a privilege to see you all grow and succeed, and I am excited to see where the journey will take us in the months ahead.
