Dear TCC Community,
Can you believe we are almost at the end of the trimester? It has truly felt like we have been in “go, go, go” mode since the start of the year. I am sure many of you feel the same way.
For students, it is crunch time. You have put in long hours studying and preparing for your exams. For faculty, it is all about wrapping up the trimester and making sure students get the help they need. For staff, it is about keeping everything running smoothly and supporting our faculty and students behind the scenes.
For those who are completing or have completed their finals, you will get a much-needed break before coming back next trimester ready to take on whatever comes next. For those of you graduating, the finish line is in sight! It feels like just yesterday you were taking your first final at TCC. Take a moment to appreciate just how far you have come — you’ve got this!
February was a busy and exciting month, and I wanted to share a few highlights:
Lunch & Learn with Dr. Caroline Long
On March 5th, we had a great Lunch & Learn session with Dr. Caroline Long, who talked about how chiropractic care can improve airway health in pediatric patients. Dr. Long is a TCC alum, and it was awesome to have her back on campus, sharing her expertise with our students. It's always great to see our alumni giving back to the next generation! Thanks to the Perinatal & Pediatric Council for hosting this event.
New TCC Ambassadors Induction
We inducted two new TCC Ambassadors: Madison Marceaux and Madison Toney. Student Ambassadors represent TCC at various events, volunteer in the community, and help spread the word about chiropractic care. In the past, Ambassadors have met with the Mayor of Pasadena on National Chiropractic Day and participated in so many other exciting things. We are excited to see what Madison M. and Madison T. will accomplish!
Lunch & Learn with Dr. Denise Chranowski & Dr. Thea Taylor
Dr. Denise Chranowski, another TCC alum, shared some great tips on how to live optimally and the mindset and habits that can help students become great chiropractors. Additionally, Dr. Thea Taylor presented on How to Crunch Your Numbers in a Chiropractic Clinic. Thanks to SACA for hosting both events!
ACC-RAC 2025 Conference
From March 20-22, several members of the TCC community attended the 2025 ACC-RAC event. This year’s theme focused on an exploration of emerging technologies, best practices and innovation that will certainly impact the chiropractic landscape. Special congratulations to Dr. John Ward and Dr. Patricia Moore for having acknowledged research at this event. The research was showcased by our students: Matthew McKay, Pablo Villanueva, and Jeremy Jenkins.
As we wrap up the trimester, remember to take a moment to recognize all the hard work you have put in. It has been a tough but rewarding journey, and you are almost there! Keep pushing forward, take care of yourselves, and finish strong. I’m proud of everything you all have accomplished, and I am looking forward to seeing all the amazing things you will do next. Good luck with finals, and I can’t wait to see you all in the next trimester!
Best regards,
Sandra Hughes, D.C., M.Ed., FICC
