Dear TCC Community,

Happy New Year! Welcome back to campus, and a special welcome to those of you joining our campus for the first time this trimester. I hope you all had a great holiday break and were able to spend time reconnecting with family, friends, and the things that matter most to you.

Over the break, I had time to reflect on our purpose: to prepare others for success by investing in opportunities that inspire and empower them to reach their goals. InvestInspireEmpower. These are three words many of us see each day as we exit campus, but it is also a reminder of who we strive to be as an institution and as individuals. This year, I encourage all of us to be intentional about living those words. Investing in ourselves and one another. Inspiring those around us through our actions. Empowering our community to grow, lead, and succeed. As we start this trimester, and year, I am excited about the goals and opportunities for growth that lie ahead.

You may have noticed that I was not at the First Friday event this trimester. Instead, I was representing our campus at the Texas Chiropractic Association legislative session, advocating for the future of chiropractic and for the students that will continue the profession. It is important work, and one of the many ways we invest in the long-term strength of our profession, even when it means being away from campus for a short time.

While I could not attend this trimester’s First Friday event, I hope you all took the opportunity to participate. First Friday is a time for everyone on campus, employees, returning students, and new students alike, to connect, to build relationships, and to strengthen the sense of community that makes our campus such a special place.

I look forward to seeing you around campus in the weeks ahead and to continuing the important work we do together. Thank you for all that you bring to TCC, and I wish you a strong and successful start to the trimester.

Best regards,
