Dear TCC Community,
Like the transition from winter to spring, our campus continues to evolve, bringing steady progress and new opportunities for growth. As we welcome March, we find ourselves in a season that offers a renewed sense of possibility, encouraging growth, creativity, and collaboration across our community. In this newsletter, you’ll find updates on upcoming events, highlights from recent initiatives, and opportunities to learn and connect.
Faculty Spotlights
We are pleased to announce that Dr. David Taylor has been granted Faculty Emeritus status in recognition of distinguished service and sustained contributions to the college. This prestigious honor reflects his exemplary commitment to scholarship, teaching, and service. We extend our sincere appreciation for Dr. Taylor’s years of dedicated service and celebrate this well-deserved recognition.
We are also proud to recognize Dr. Cheryl Hawk and Dr. David Taylor for co-authoring “Chiropractic Management of Adults with Cervicogenic or Tension-Type Headaches: Development of a Clinical Practice Guideline” alongside other doctors. Their representation of TCC and commitment to evidence-informed education are reflected in this clinical practice guideline, which establishes evidence-based consensus recommendations for the chiropractic management of adults with cervicogenic and tension-type headaches.
March 2026 Event Highlights
Our students and campus organizations continue to create outstanding learning opportunities beyond the classroom, demonstrating remarkable initiative and engagement.
In February, four Lunch and Learn sessions were held:
- The Perinatal & Pediatrics Club hosted a Lunch and Learn with Dr. Alayna Pagnani-Gendron on February 3 to discuss airways and tongue ties.
- Also hosted by the Perinatal & Pediatrics Club, Dr. Elizabeth Doise gave a presentation on the pelvic floor at a Lunch and Learn on February 18.
- The SACA Sports Council hosted a Lunch and Learn on Building a Sports Practice, presented by Airrosti, on February 4.
- SABCA hosted a virtual Lunch and Learn on February 18 featuring Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician Dr. Christina Mishreki.
Continuing this momentum, the Gonstead Club hosted the Crank It Up – Pediatrics Seminar with Dr. Aki Oshita on campus February 21–22. This two-day, hands-on workshop provided students with focused instruction in pediatric analysis and adjustment using the Gonstead System.
Concluding this busy month, the Office of Advancement & Alumni Engagement organized the Career & Networking Fair on February 25. This event provided students with an impactful opportunity to forge professional connections beyond campus, opening doors to potential shadowing experiences and future career opportunities.
Upcoming Event Opportunities
The Office of Postgraduate and Professional Education is encouraging students and faculty to attend several upcoming events designed to enhance academic advancement, professional development, and lifelong learning. These events include the CE Spring Break Beach Weekend, the Aligned 2026 Convention, and an upcoming CE Cruise later this year.
