Dr. Dawn Schwab Announced as New Chairman of the Texas Chiropractic College Board of Regents

On October 24, 2021, during Texas Chiropractic College’s board meeting, Dr. Dawn Schwab was announced as the new chairman of the Texas Chiropractic College Board of Regents.

Dr. Schwab is a 1993 Texas Chiropractic College Alumna and joined the Board of Regents in October of 2011. After graduation, she worked as an associate doctor in two practices before starting Spinal Care Chiropractic with her business partner, Dr. Lisa Rister; They opened the practice in December of 1999 and are currently still in practice together. “It’s kind of neat after having been a student, a volunteer, and a member of the board to now be the chairperson to help lead us for the next couple of years at least,” comments Schwab. In her new role, Dr. Schwab says it is essential to determine what the college needs and how the board can support those needs.

Dr. Schwab is preceded by Dr. Monte Blue, who served as Texas Chiropractic College’s chairman from 2013-2021. “We had a great chairman in Dr. Blue,” Schwab says, “and he did an amazing job and a lot of great work during that time. So, big shoes to fill.”

Lastly, Dr. Dawn Schwab affirms that she is looking forward to the challenge. “I am excited about where TCC will be in the next five years. I think the pandemic brought a lot of challenges, but it also brought a lot of opportunities… I’m excited to see what it’ll look like a few years from now.”
