TCC Holds Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to Celebrate the opening of the Hampton Tax Group Recreation Center
PASADENA, TX, March 9, 2022 — Texas Chiropractic College held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Hampton Tax Group Recreation Center.
Pasadena Mayor, Jeff Wagner, demonstrated his support of the college by attending and speaking at the event. “This facility proves that the college realizes that students are the most important part,” he stated.
The new building is part of The Phoenix Project, a plan announced by TCC President, Dr. Stephen Foster, to enhance the campus through infrastructure improvements, new educational technology, campus beautification, and the new student recreation center. “Our new recreation center represents the continued effort to create a student-centered environment on the TCC campus,” said Dr. Foster. He went on to express his gratitude at the event by thanking every person who took part in bringing the building together.
Featured amenities include a workout facility, showers, game tables, lounge areas, a movie room, and an outdoor multi-sport court. The building is named after Hampton Tax Group, owned by TCC board member, Ken Cauthorn, and his business partner, Rick Pankowski. “Hampton Tax Group has been helping the chiropractic profession for over two decades, and we are honored to be able to enhance the student experience at TCC,” commented Mr. Cauthorn.
Chairman of the Board, Dr. Dawn Schwab, shared a few words on behalf of the TCC Board of Regents: “Our students work incredibly hard to complete this rigorous program, and this activity center will provide them a location to exercise, relax, and gather outside of the classroom,” she expressed.
